राज्यात महायुतीचे सरकार स्थापन झाल्यानंतर मुख्यमंत्री म्हणून देवेंद्र फडणवीस यांनी शपथ घेतली. त्यानंतर, देशभरातून त्यांच्यावर शुभेच्छांचा वर्षाव करण्यात आला. विशेष म्हणजे विधानसभा निवडणुकीत एकमेकांवर टोकाची राजकीय टीपण्णी करणाऱ्या ठाकरे-फडणवीसांची भेट अनेकांच्या भुवया उंचावणारी ठरली. या भेटीची राजकीय वर्तुळातही जोरदार चर्चा होती, कारण एकनाथ शिंदे मुख्यमंत्री बनल्यानंतर शिवसेना पक्षप्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरेंनी त्यांचं अभिनंदन केलं नाही, याउलट गद्दार आणि घटनाबाह्य सरकार म्हणत टीकाच केल्याचं दिसून आलं. मात्र, ठाकरेंकडून फडणवीसांचं अभिनंदन केल्याने राजकीय वर्तुळात चर्चांना उधाण आलाय. विशेष म्हणजे देवेंद्र फडणवीस मुख्यमंत्री झाल्यानंतर आमदार आदित्य ठाकरेंनी तीनवेळा फडणवीसांची भेट घेतली असून आजही त्यांनी वरळी मतदारसंघातील विषयांसह विविध मुदद्यांवर चर्चा केली.
