शिवसेना (उद्धव बाळासाहेब ठाकरे) पक्षाला विधानसभा निवडणुकीत महाविकास आघाडीतून लढविलेल्या ९६ जागांपैकी केवळ २० ठिकाणीच विजय मिळाला. त्यामुळे आता अनेक आमदारांनी तसेच पराभूत उमेदवारांनी, पक्षाने स्वबळावर लढावे असा आग्रह धरल्याचे सांगितले जातय. अर्थात लगेच निर्णय घेणे पक्षनेतृत्वाला कठीण आहे. मात्र आता स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांमध्ये विशेषत: मुंबई महापालिकेला शिवसेना वेगळे लढणार काय, हा प्रश्न निर्माण झालाय. कारण मुंबईतील सत्ता ही ठाकरे गटासाठी अतीशय महत्त्वाची आहे.
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party won only 20 out of the 96 seats contested by Maha Vikas Aghadi in the assembly elections. Therefore, it is said that now many MLAs as well as defeated candidates have insisted that the party should fight on its own. Of course, it is difficult for the party leadership to take a decision immediately. But now the question has arisen whether Shiv Sena will fight separately in local bodies, especially in Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Because power in Mumbai is very important for the Thackeray group.
